What we do ?
- Hospital Employees Union, a registered trade union, is the voice of health workers of Delhi.
- We take steps to ensure better working conditions and job security to Health Workers who are working on daily wages/temporary/contract or through contractors.
- We secure social and economic justice for the health workers.
- We strive to make workplaces/hospitals more democratic where the workers get due proceeds for their skills and labour.
- We work for employment rights of Health Workers. Our work helps the patients as well as the society at large.
- We raise industrial dispute for our members who have been wronged by their employers.
- Raise their demands of better pay, better service conditions, job security/permanency/regularization, bonus, gratuity, provident fund and all other service benefits

- Organize health workers
- We fight Illegal retrenchment, wrongful termination, unfair labour practices and denial of profit sharing by employers in labour courts, industrial tribunals and CGITs, High Court and Supreme Court.

A hospital is an “industry” and covered under labour laws of India.
Hospital workers have a right to form a trade union or join a trade union of their choice.
Private and Government both kind of Hospitals must follow labour laws.
You can join our trade union even if you are working on contract basis.
A hospital workers can raise an industrial dispute in Labour Court/Industrial Tribunal through his union against illegal termination/firing, denial of wages, illegal continuation for long period as temporary employee.
Your main employer may be cheating you by showing you as contractors’ worker and labour law has a solution for that.
